International Musical Star Trombone Shorty Rocks Global Recess in Concert!!!

New Orleans musician, Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews, performed in Philly Friday night wearing Global Recess! Trombone Shorty headlined World CafĂ© Live’s 5th Anniversary Celebration with his band Orleans Avenue. Shorty wore a Global Recess “Stop Human Trafficking” v-neck t-shirt during his performance in front of a crowd of hundreds.

Shorty is a New Orleans musical prodigy and a member of a musical family. He was born and raised in the Treme neighborhood, which is also the birthplace of Louis Armstrong. By the time he was 12 Shorty was a professional working musician mesmerizing stars such as U2's Bono. He has shared the stage with legends such as Lenny Kravitz, Wynton Marsalis, U2 and Norah Jones. Shorty's current style fuses jazz, funk, hip hop and rock with brass instrumentation that astounds fans of all ages, races and creeds. Currently touring with his band Orleans Avenue, Shorty continues to bring New Orleans flavor and “supafunkrock” to fans the world over.
